This Refund Policy applies to memberships, subscriptions, certificate programs, events, digital products, and other paid services offered by HR Tech Conferences LLC, doing business as Hacking HR ("Hacking HR," "we," "us," or "our"), including services purchased through https://www.hackinghrlab.io and related platforms.
We aim to be fair, transparent, and responsive while protecting the value of digital access, certifications, and learning services.
1. Memberships and Recurring Subscriptions
Membership fees and recurring subscription charges are generally non-refundable once a billing cycle begins.
Because memberships provide immediate access to premium content, events, resources, and member benefits, refunds are typically not available for partial use, unused time, or failure to cancel before renewal.
To avoid future charges, subscriptions must be canceled before the next renewal date.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, cancellation stops future renewals and does not retroactively refund prior billing periods.
2. No Refunds After Use of Premium Benefits
Refunds are not available once premium benefits have been accessed, used, claimed, issued, or consumed during the applicable billing period.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Accessing premium courses, programs, or member-only resources
- Using HR certification credits or continuing education credits
- Receiving, claiming, or accepting Credly badges, certificates, diplomas, or credentials
- Registering for or attending premium events or workshops
- Downloading paid materials or gated resources
- Participating in paid cohorts, live sessions, or community benefits
3. Certificate Programs, Cohorts, and Digital Learning Products
Payments for certificate programs, cohorts, bootcamps, courses, and downloadable digital products are generally non-refundable once access has been granted or the program has started.
If a cancellation request is made before access is granted or before the official start date, we may review requests on a case-by-case basis.
4. Events
Paid Virtual Events
Refund requests may be considered if submitted before the event start time, unless otherwise stated during registration.
Paid In-Person Events
Refund deadlines, transfer rights, or credits may vary by event and venue commitments. Specific event terms presented at registration control.
Free Sponsored Events
No refunds apply where no purchase was made.
5. Exceptional Circumstances
We may, at our sole discretion, issue a refund, partial refund, service credit, or account adjustment in cases such as:
- Duplicate charges
- Billing system errors
- Unauthorized charges (subject to verification)
- Technical failure preventing reasonable access
- Customer service resolutions approved by management
- Legal obligations requiring refund
Nothing in this section guarantees a refund.
6. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first at support@hackinghr.io so we can review and attempt to resolve the issue promptly.
Initiating a chargeback after receiving access or benefits may result in temporary suspension of account access while the dispute is reviewed.
7. How to Cancel a Subscription
You may cancel recurring memberships through your account settings or by contacting support@hackinghr.io.
Cancellation requests should be submitted before the next renewal date to avoid future charges.
8. Processing Time for Approved Refunds
If a refund is approved, processing times may vary depending on your payment provider or bank. Most approved refunds are processed within a reasonable timeframe after approval.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy periodically. Updated versions will be posted with a revised "Last Updated" date.
