Top Things You Need to Know About the Certificate Programs

These are the top most important things that you need to know about the certificate programs:

1. Price: all our Certificate Programs are included in the Hacking HR annual premium membership (USD $159 per year, per person). There is no additional cost on top of the annual membership to participate in the Certificate Programs.

2. Program Level: this is a Master's degree program level. This means that you while you will learn great insights from the faculty, you will have to invest significant amount of time in your own reading and peer-to-peer discussions. This is not an online, self-pace, pre-recorded program. This is hands-on program that requires active engagement and participation.

3. Time Investment: you should allocate two hours a week for the classes and at least two more hours per week for assessments, post-class self-reflection action plan, and group work. At minimum, you should have at least four hours per week, and more if possible. If you do not have this kind of time, please do not enroll because.

4. Classes: all the classes are LIVE, on the dates and times indicated in the schedule. The faculty-led portion of the classes are recorded and will be available after the class. We strongly encourage you to participate in the live classes. We understand that things happen and you may miss a live class and catch up with the recorded video, but please note that you will be missing the in-class activities if that is the case.

5. Group work: there will be in-class and post-class group assignments. This is a mandatory requirement for the successful completion of the program.

6. More than one cohort: we will reject applications to participate in more than one program simultaneously. Given our experience, we already know that students will most likely have to drop out of one, which creates a significant amount of work for our team to reassign your group members.

Certificate Program Requirements

Our Certificate Programs are Master’s Degree-like: they require time investment, research, reading, writing and group work. This is not a pre-recorded, at-your-own-pace, individual program. The programs require commitment and time. We estimate that you will need about six hours per week (two hours for the weekly LIVE class, and four more hours for group work) for the entire duration of the program.

The Certificate Programs are designed with several goals in mind: to equip you with the tools to succeed in your role; provide insights and ideas to help you solve some of your most complex and pressing current (and future) challenges; connect you with a community of like-minded people leaders interested in growing together and learning from each other; develop and enhance your research and writing abilities, and critical thinking and intellectual curiosity skills; and have learn while having fun, too.

Each Certificate Program includes LIVE classes, collaborative work (during and after the classes), quizzes, assessments, self-reflection, and more. Each LIVE class is only two hours on a weekly basis for the duration of the program. This is the smallest component of the program. The most important building block is your commitment to work with your team members and partners in the program.

The classes will be recorded and the video will be available the day after the class. Each faculty-led presentation is about 30% of the duration of the LIVE class. The rest is collaborative work during the class. You will work on resolving business cases during the class (which you will explore even deeper in the post-class group work). You can certainly watch the recorded videos of the presentation during the classes you miss and still catch up, but you will be missing out on the activities. Our recommendation is that you join the classes, LIVE.

The requirements to receive the completion diploma for this Certificate Program include: complete at least 80% of the weekly activities, together with a passing rate of at least 80% in the final individual assessment. In addition, we strongly encourage you to connect with your fellow cohort participants in your group and your accountability partner to make the most out of this program by networking effectively.

Please note: you must commit at least six hours per week for the program. If you don’t have that kind of time available, please reconsider your enrollment. About 15% of people drop out in the first two weeks of the program because they don’t fully grasp the time investment this requires.
